Create your own beautiful hand-printed Christmas cards with the incredibly talented Anna from Fabritzia Design. We are so excited about this workshop! When you see the photographs of Anna’s work, you’ll understand why — her linocut designs are absolutely stunning.
During this festive workshop, Anna will guide you through the whole process of designing, carving and printing your very own Christmas linocut, which you’ll then use to create a collection of handmade Christmas cards.
You’ll begin by developing your festive design before learning how to transfer it onto lino and carefully carve it using specialist tools.
Once your design is ready, Anna will show you how to ink your plate and create your prints.
And then comes the best bit — lifting the paper and seeing your design come to life for the first time!
This is so much more than simply making a Christmas card. You’ll be learning a traditional printmaking skill from an artist with 25 years of experience, and you’ll leave with a reusable hand-carved lino plate that you can use to create even more cards and prints at home.
All materials and equipment are included, and you’ll take home your carved lino plate along with all of the beautiful Christmas cards and prints you create during the session. You’ll also receive a detailed list of the equipment used and where you can buy it if you’d like to continue printmaking at home.
