Lino Printing Crash Course for Absolute Beginners

Learn to cut & print lino at Sealanes - a beautiful venue down on Brighton Seafront. This workshop is for absolute beginners - no previous art experience needed.

What kind of stuff will we be learning?

• Printing multiple layers of lino so they layer up to create an image
• Cutting technqiues
• Learning about consistency of ink, and what makes a successful print
• Seeing how different types paper affect your print
• How to make your ink lighter and darker
• How to mix inks to make different colours

By the end of the course you'll have a chunky hand bound sketchbook of experiments and a few finished prints.

Hi I'm Zara, your tutor for this beginnger's day course! I've been teaching watercolours in Brighton for three years and am at the point now where I really have a deep understanding of how watercolour works. In this class I'll be passing on every skill and bit of knowledge to send you on your watercolour journey.
