What is lino printing?
Lino printing is a technique that's been around for more than 100 years. Originally used for printing repeat patterns for wall paper in the late 1800s.
Lino printing involved a slab of rubbery material made up of cork and linseed oil that you carve into using a sharp lino cutting tool. You cut away parts of a design and leave others (the bits that are left will pick up ink and the bits you cut will not pick up ink). Have a look at the photos below to see.

Hi I'm Zara, your tutor for this beginner's day course! I've been teaching watercolours in Brighton for three years and am at the point now where I really have a deep understanding of how watercolour works. In this class I'll be passing on every skill and bit of knowledge to send you on your watercolour journey.
