Location: Halling Studio
Create your own beautiful handmade Christmas cards in this beginner-friendly introduction to lino printing. During the workshop, you’ll learn how to create single-colour lino prints, starting with your own design. You’ll begin by drawing your idea onto paper, then tracing and transferring it onto lino before learning how to safely cut away the areas you don’t want to print. Finally, you’ll ink up your finished lino block and print your design onto Christmas cards in the colour of your choice.
You can choose to create one or multiple designs, depending on the complexity of your ideas and your pace of carving. Once the lino design is cut, you’ll have the opportunity to print as many cards as you like during the session.
This class is ideal for anyone new to lino printing. The small-scale projects make it a simple and enjoyable introduction to the craft, while giving you the chance to experiment with your own designs and create a collection of unique handmade Christmas cards to take home and gift to friends and family.
All materials including high quality cards and envelopes are provided, and to make the workshop extra festive, festive snacks and soft drinks are also included for you to enjoy while you work.
Come along, get creative and make something personal to share this Christmas!
