About this Event
Inspired by the latest edition of RHS Botanical Illustration: The Gold Medal Winners, we are celebrating this beautiful and intricate field of art. We will be joined by the author of the book, and curator of the RHS Lindley Library's art collection, Charlotte Brooks and RHS Gold medal-winning botanical artist Pauleen Trim.
In this conversation we will be delving into our art collections to uncover a history of botanical illustration. Discover how the evolution of this genre is reflected in the 100-year history of awards for Botanical Art at RHS Shows. Plus, Pauleen will be sharing her insight into the work of a practicing botanical artist, and what goes into creating award-winning pieces of botanical illustration.
There will be plenty of time to ask questions. Plus join us for a drinks reception and book sale after the conversation, where you will have the opportunity to purchase a signed copy of .

Doors open at 6.00pm, with the event beginning at 6.30pm.
Tickets for this event are required, with the ticket cost supporting the RHS Lindley Library. Some tickets will be available on the door. RHS membership not required.
To keep the event as accessible as possible you can choose a full-price ticket (£8) or donate an amount affordable to you with our 'pay what you can' tickets (min. £1 donation).
