This picturesque approx 4 mile long route takes in bridleways and byways in the countryside surrounding Linacre Reservoir. The route sets out and returns through woodland, and there are some pleasing views in more open sections. This route is mainly off road, but there are two short sections on road, one of which takes in the pretty village of Old Brampton. Going is on tracks and tarmac throughout, and there is a little undulation and change of levels, just enough to make youngsters think what they are doing with their feet!View the route demo video here:
Worth noting:
There is a small amount of roadwork.
Vehicular traffic, including farm machinery, may be encountered on some off road sections which access properties.
There is some unlevel going which may include rocky sections, or tree roots crossing the track. Some sections may be stony underfoot.
Livestock, including horses, will be encountered alongside the route.
Some sections are narrow and there may be hedge overgrowth so long sleeves are advisable.
