About this Event
Lil' Beats & Harmonies
Unlike traditional music classes centered solely on nursery rhymes, this fully immersive and live musical session blends gentle acoustic rhythms using medicine drums, djembes, homemade drums, tuning forks with 7.83 and 432 hertz tuning, intentional breathwork, and guided movement to foster emotional regulation, early auditory development, and parent-child connection.
Age Group: Best suited for toddlers and young children (Ages 1–5), but all gentle spirits are welcome.
Agenda
🕑: 09:30 AM - 09:45 AM
Phase 1: Arrival & Grounding Circle (15 Minutes)
Host: hosted by Ankh’el [Adam Wilkinson]
Info: •Welcome & Blanket Settlement
Welcoming parents and little ones as you settle onto your blankets/mats in the circle.
We will play a soft, ambient acoustic rhythm followed by a single tuning fork tone to signal the transition from the busy morning into the space.
•Earth Breathwork ("Tree Roots & Bubble Breath")
We will guide parents and children through 3 rounds of 3 deep grounding breaths, bringing awareness to the natural energy exchange that is constantly happening between the feet and the earth.
•Playful Breath Exercise: Deep belly inhale expanding like a balloon, followed by blowing bubbles to discharge excess toddler energy through intentional focused breathing.
•Setting the Intentional Rhythm:
Here we introduce the heartbeat pulse using a single Native American medicine drum. Explaining simply to the children: "This is the sound your heart makes, and it's the same sound the Earth makes."
🕑: 09:45 AM - 10:00 AM
Phase 2: Somatic Movement & Motor Tracking (15 Minutes)
Info: •Parent & Child Stretch (Reaching High, Grounding Low): Parents and children reach hands to the sky like tree branches, then fold forward to touch the sandy earth.
•Gentle Rocking: Parents sit cross-legged holding their toddler on their lap, gently swaying side-to-side to a steady 432 Hz acoustic rhythm. •Animal Rhythms & Motor Tracking:
Examples include- organic physical movements matched to slow drum tempo (e.g., heavy elephant steps to slow drum beats, fast mouse pitter-patter to light djembe drum taps).
Focuses on motor skills, body awareness, and spatial coordination.
🕑: 10:00 AM - 10:20 AM
Phase 3: Hands-On Acoustic Rhythm & Drum Exploration (20 Minutes)
Info: Instrument Blessing & Hands-on Class
Child-friendly acoustic instruments passed around.
Children are taught reverence for the instruments, e.g. showing them how to place palms gently on the drum skin to feel the vibration before playing.
•Call-and-Response Rhythm Play:
Leader plays a simple 2-beat or 3-beat rhythm on the lead drum; parents and children mirror the beat back together.
•Layered Sound: Divide the circle into two groups—one holding steady heartbeat drumbeats while the other adds tuning fork accents.
•Free Rhythm & Expressive Play:
A 5-10 minute open window for free expression where children can play freely while parents hold a steady, grounding anchor rhythm underneath.
🕑: 10:25 AM - 10:40 AM
Phase 4: Acoustic Frequency Immersion & Relaxation (15 Minutes)
Info: The Resting Circle (Somatic Integration):
Children lie down on their parent’s chest or lap on the blanket. Here we transition to the soothing acoustic soundtrack of AllHealingHands LLC. This sacred chamber music will allow the children’s central nervous system to reset and absorb the calming frequencies.
•Silent Co-Regulation:
2-5 minutes of quiet, restful stillness listening to the natural sounds of lakeside nature and Adam’s soft acoustic resonance.
🕑: 10:45 AM - 11:11 AM
Phase 5: Closing & Gratitude Circle (3-5 Minutes)
Info: Closing Pulse & Gratitude
Bring hands to the heart or place a hand on the child's back.
Final 3 drum strikes for (Woman & Man & Child) to seal the session, followed by a moment of brief gratitude sharing for the Creator, the Earth, each other, the children, and experiencing the space created together.
