A journey between silence and sound, this recital brings together three distinct musical worlds. Beginning and ending with selections from Federico Mompou's Musica Callada (Music of Silence), the programme moves through the restless imagination of Schumann's Novelette and expansiveness of Beethoven's Waldstein Sonata. The evening invites audiences to experience the piano in all its constrasts, ultimately returning to the intimacy and quiet from which it all began.

Programme:

• Frederic Mompou: Música Callada
• Robert Schumann: Novelette, No.5
• Frederic Mompou: Música Callada
• Ludwig van Beethoven: Piano Sonata No.21 in C major, Op.53, "Waldstein
• Frederic Mompou: Músic Callada
