FREE Kids' Bike Race at Fallon Park! Kiddos aged 8 and under are invited to join the pros during Go Cross for some exciting bike racing.WeeWheel Roanoke will have a short, kid-friendly, bike course that mimics some of the exciting features of the cyclocross racing going on all weekend at Fallon Park.
Details:
-Races take place at 12:15pm both Saturday 9/26 and Sunday 9/27
-Free parking is available off Dale Ave right as you enter the park, follow signs and staff instructions.
-BYO helmet & bike
-Wear closed-toed shoes with heel straps and adventure-ready clothes
-Meet up to check-in and sign waivers at the WeeWheel Tent in the center of the action (you can't miss it!) starting at 11:45am.
-Races will be staged so strider and pedal bikes will be separate.
Come early or stick around after to soak in all the fun of Go Cross. Parking is free, cyclocross racing starts at 7:45 and goes through 5pm. Announcers will entertain and inform, there will be food trucks and New Belgium Beer on site, and kids are encouraged to cycle around and enjoy the day. The pros race at 2:55 and 4:05 if you're looking to catch the biggest show!
