A memory is not something stored somewhere in space. It exists somewhere between the present and the past, leaving traces in images, objects, places, and the stories we tell ourselves. How does something intangible become something that can be recorded, preserved, or reconstructed?
𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒆 𝒂 𝒘𝒉𝒊𝒕𝒆 𝒃𝒊𝒓𝒅 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒅 brings together works that look at memory through traces, fragments, emotional distortions, archives, objects, imagination, and repetition.
Each artist explores a different way of reconstructing the past: preserving it, altering it, layering it, filling it with gaps, or simply allowing it to change. Through photography, video, installation, artist books, objects and printmaking, the works move between personal experiences and memories, questioning what remains, what disappears, and what is transformed in the process of remembering.
