A free winter morning where young children build small glowing lanterns from translucent paper and explore how light moves through color.About this Event
Join us for Lights and Lanterns Studio at Little Nestlings Early Learning Center.
As the days get short, young children notice light in a new way. This free Community Saturday invites children to build a small lantern using translucent paper, tissue, tape, and simple frames, then watch how color changes when the light shines through.
Children will test which papers glow, layer colors to make new ones, and take their lantern home to light a dark winter afternoon.
This is a wonder filled, open ended exploration of light, color, and early science. It welcomes every family and every winter tradition, and it reflects how Little Nestlings follows children into the things they are curious about.
