Speaker: James McCartney
James McCartney currently resides in Vancouver, WA. He works in the business leadership and lay ministry. He is a vital part of the Houses of Prayer in the area. He was radically transformed in April 1991 by a rocket launch, baptism of the Holy Spirit, and fire along with God’s gift of Eternal Life. (Jim claims to be still “orbiting”.) Shortly after that born-again moment, Jim recalls hearing God tell him, “Give me your life and I will totally take care of you.” God’s total care over the years has included Jim’s wife Yvette, 5 children, 1 grandchild, and God’s incredible faithfulness, love and provision. He and Yvette minister at Rivers of Life church in Gresham, Oregon, and host a Friday night Prayer Fellowship at their home. They are missionaries and a vital part of an orphanage in Africa called "Sonshine Kids".He has been active in ministries “to equip the saints for works of ministry and to build up the body of Christ.” (Eph 4:12) He enjoys preaching, teaching, and pastoral pinch-hitting responsibilities and is grateful for God’s open doors to share faith and prophetically encourage the body of Christ and bring forth the Kingdom of God’s beloved Son.
