The LIGHTHOUSE Coastal event is a low cost, low key, self supported 100 club official re-run of our original Lighthouse Marathon from early 2016.Two options available -
- 21.1km half marathon
- 42.2km full marathon
This will be the 8th time we have run this course.
It will take place on Sun May 16th 2027 starting from the Lighthouse in Port Adelaide at 7:00am.
We had 3 x marathon finishers in 2016, 9 x finishers in 2017, 8 x finishers in 2021, 3 x finishers in 2022, 5 x finishers in 2023, 6 x finishers in 2024 and 4 finishers (plus 2 x DNF) in 2025 when last hosted.
Mostly coastal from Port Adelaide to Glenelg & return (we have modified the course slightly to remove the sand and dunes section at Tennyson). This year will include the new STAGE ONE section from Semaphore Park to West Lakes Shore.
No hurry, no cut-off, just enjoy the journey as it will be self timed and hopefully a catch-up for coffee at the finish ☕
Part proceeds to the ACRF to help #endcancer
Cost inc. finisher medal $25.
Self-Supported Run -
Available at very minimal selected events in 2025 and beyond. Must be run at the designated event start time and location. All runners of each distance start together at the same time (unless noted otherwise). Race bibs and finisher medals are collected at the race briefing at event location. You will need to record your run on Strava or the like showing "elapsed" or "total" time, not "moving" time. Please send your run link or a screenshot to coastalfunruns to be included in online published results. Self-Supported marathon runs are eligible for inclusion in the AUSNZ 100 Marathon Club. Enjoy the journey as being Self-Supported means no cut-off time. All Self-Supported runs regardless of distance are offered at a reduced rate of $10.00 less than normal pricing
