**Light & Shadows in Green Meadows** is a one-day group art exhibition exploring the places where light and shadow meet within the human experience.Curated by mental health therapist Jane Obi and presented by Third Spaces, the exhibition brings together visual artists whose work gives language to the seasons of life we do not always know how to name: grief and joy, uncertainty and hope, loss and renewal, darkness and becoming.
Inspired by the imagery of Psalms 23 with green meadows and the reality that life holds both beauty and difficulty, Light & Shadows invites us to consider what it means to move through both without fearing either. For those in seasons of shadow, the exhibition offers the reminder that light can come again. For those standing in the light, it offers permission to be present without fearing the shadows ahead.
Alongside the exhibition, guests can experience a series of activations designed to deepen reflection, connection, and community, including artist and therapist-led facilitations, music, food, conversation, and other creative experiences throughout the day.
Come wander. Sit with a piece. Join a conversation. Grab something to eat. Listen. Reflect. Find Community. Stay awhile.
This project is supported in part by a Nexus Grant of Austin Arts, Culture, Music and Entertainment.
