On November 12, the Cape Fear Civil War Round Table welcomes one of our own past presidents, David Norris, who will be making a presentation on life in Wilmington during the Civil War. David is a freelance magazine writer who specializes in the Civil War, more specifically North Carolina's role. His first book, Potter's Raid: The Union Cavalry's Boldest Expedition in Eastern North Carolina, was published in 2008.
The November 12, 2026 meeting of the round table will be held at Elebash Hall at the rear of St. John’s Episcopal church at 1219 Forest Hills Drive, Wilmington. The meeting offers an opportunity to engage with the speaker both before and after the presentation and to ask questions in a friendly, informal setting. Come and learn about what life was like in Wilmington during the Civil War! The church parking lot, close to the entrance to our meeting room, is easily accessed via Park Avenue off of Independence Boulevard. Invite your friends and neighbors! For more information about membership in the Cape Fear Civil War Round table, go to http://www.cfcwrt.org and click on “Join/Rejoin.” There is no charge for admission. See you there.
