Created in celebration of the Museum and Memorial's 100th anniversary and the nation's 250th, Liberty's Beacon transforms the Memorial into a canvas of light, sound and motion.Over seven weekends, three acclaimed artists each bring the Memorial's inscribed virtues – Honor, Courage, Sacrifice and Patriotism – to life across an eight- to 10-minute visual and auditory experience shown throughout the evening.
A composed musical track accompanies each light installation. The lights can be seen from various places around Downtown Kansas City, the accompanying audio can be experienced only on the North Lawn.
This fall, see the National WWI Museum and Memorial in a way you never have before.

Leslie Epsztein and Camille Gross are French artists specializing in architectural projection mapping and immersive visual experiences. Before developing their own practice, both artists worked independently with creative agencies, artists and cultural institutions, building experience on projects for international festivals and major cities. Their collaboration began in 2016, and they have worked together as a duo ever since. Their artistic language is defined by a dreamlike aesthetic, refined graphic sensibility and meticulous attention to detail, frequently exploring themes of time, memory and transmission.
