Queer folk are invited to attend the monthly Pride Place of Belonging Support Group from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. on the third Sunday of the month. This free support group, led by Pastor Jeff Spencer (with Cindy Sojourner substituting when Pastor Jeff is away), is a place for members of the LGBTQ+ community to celebrate achievements and support one another with life’s struggles. It includes a time for check-in, and time to dig into any issues that need some extra support from the group. The support group meets in Room 3.About Pride Place of Belonging:
Pride Place of Belonging was formed at Niles Discovery Church to support the LGBTQIA+ community, recognizing that there was no other location designated for the Queer Community in Fremont. Niles Discovery Church has been an Open and Affirming Congregation for over 30 years. We decided we are capable of creating a safe, supportive, and fun place for queer people to gather on a monthly basis.
