The Arizona Collaborative Lewy Body Dementia Association Research Center of Excellence, which includes Mayo Clinic and Banner Sun Health Research Institute, will hold this free patient and family conference, "Living Well with Lewy: Education, Connection & Empowerment." Leading clinicians, researchers and subject matter experts will share information about Lewy body dementia, a complex and challenging brain disorder. Lewy body dementia is the second-most common form of degenerative dementia in seniors next to Alzheimer’s disease.
The conference will focus on advancing your understanding of the symptoms of LBD, provide practical approaches and techniques to navigate cognitive, emotional and visual changes that occur, preparing for palliative care, supporting the needs of LBD care partners and so much more.
This event is co-hosted by Banner Sun Health Research Institute and Mayo Clinic, and sponsored by the Lewy Body Dementia Association.
