Get ready for a night of roots, punk and country blues.The Levitt VIBE Concert Series heads into October with Sunny War, performing live on Thursday, October 1, in the Wichita Foundation Amphitheater at Exploration Place.
A Nashville-based singer and guitarist, Sunny War has carved out a unique sound through intricate fingerpicking and a striking blend of punk and country blues. Her album Anarchist Gospel earned widespread praise from Rolling Stone and critics across the country, with collaborations featuring Allison Russell, Jim James of My Morning Jacket and David Rawlings.
She's also brought her music to the national stage with performances on NPR's Tiny Desk and World Cafe.
