This course is ideal for anyone working in childcare – The Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid will give you the knowledge to act with confidence and how to deal with emergency situations in a safe and appropriate manner. This course covers the more common illnesses that occur in children as well as the types of incidents and accidents that could happen.Course Content
Unit 1 – Paediatric Emergency First Aid
The role of the Paediatric first aider
Dealing with emergencies
First aid for an unconscious casualty (including CPR training)
First aid for choking, shock and bleeding
Unit 2 – Managing Paediatric Illness and Injury
First aid for injuries to bones, joints and muscles (including head and spinal injuries)
Medical emergencies like sudden poisoning and anaphylaxis, burns, bites and sudden poisoning
Dealing with chronic medical conditions and sudden illnesses
Records and reporting

Please arrive at 8.45am for a 9am start.
The course day shall be 9am - 4pm
Free parking onsite.
Food and drink can be purchased at the venue at an additional cost.
