This Veterans Weekend, experience Letters of Gratitude in Light, illuminations on The Betsy Orb honoring veterans and service members through original thank-you letters and video tributes.

Also at The Betsy: Separate public screenings of Nothing Can Be Done, But Something Can Be Said take place Saturday, November 7, at 7 PM and 8 PM in B Bar. After the film, guests may step outside to the ORB. The documentary is a separate event with its own listing.
Presented as part of the City of Miami Beach's Veterans Day observance, with special appreciation to USMC Veteran Alex Kruger-Dobrota for creating and coordinating the project and for his service and vision.
Beginning November 2, visit miamibeachfl.gov/america250 to submit a letter or video tribute and view a live feed of letters and videos, extending the city's campaign's reach to veterans and service members beyond Miami Beach.
Created with Miami Beach VFW Post 3559 and powered by Badger, a veteran-owned interactive social platform, the projections showcase community expressions of gratitude. The installation runs November 7 to 10, 2026, from 6 to 11 PM nightly at The Betsy Hotel, 1440 Ocean Drive, Miami Beach.
