💖🏃♀️ LADIES, LET’S LIGHT UP TAUNTON! 🏃♀️💖🌟 Join us for a FREE social 10K run in support of Let’s Lift the Curfew! 🌟
Calling all running ladies in Taunton! 💕 Let’s come together, light up the streets and show that women should feel free to run, walk and enjoy the outdoors, whatever the time of year.
Since October 2023, the Let’s Lift the Curfew campaign has been sharing women’s stories and highlighting the concerns many face when getting active outdoors during the darker months.
So, what better way to raise awareness than by getting together, doing what we love and showing our support? Let’s get out there, run together and make some noise for women’s safety! 💪✨
📍 WHERE: Outside Taunton Pool
📅 WHEN: Sunday 25th October
⏰ MEET: 5pm
🏃♀️ DISTANCE: 10K
💖 COST: Completely FREE!
✨ THE VIBE? Fun, friendly, social and full of colour! ✨
Whether you’re a regular runner or simply want to be part of something positive, come along and show your support. Please wear bright colours and plenty of lights so we can shine brightly together!
📰 GOT A STORY TO SHARE?
The Gazette will be covering the event, and we'd love to help shine a light on women’s experiences of running or being outdoors after dark. If you have a story, experience or concern you’d like to share, this is a great opportunity to have your voice heard. You can share anonymously if you prefer.
💗 WHY JOIN US?
Because women deserve to feel safe outdoors. Because nobody should have to change their routines, give up exercise or miss out on the freedom of being active because it’s dark. And because together, we can raise awareness and help make a difference.
So grab your trainers, charge your lights, pop on something bright and come run with us! 💡👟
🙌 RUN TOGETHER. STAND TOGETHER. LIFT THE CURFEW.
👉 Click “GOING” and invite your running buddies! The more of us who show up, the brighter we’ll shine! 💖
⚠️ IMPORTANT PARTICIPANT NOTICE: This is a free, informal social run. Anyone taking part does so entirely at their own risk. The organiser accepts no responsibility or liability for participants taking part in the run. Please consider your own fitness and ability, take care around traffic and other hazards, and wear appropriate high-visibility clothing and lights.
