This course is designed to give students an introduction to Indonesian batik printing and various types of batik.This 4-hour hands-on class will teach you the batik tulis technique with the help of brush painting and the tjanting tool.
You'll learn how to draw or trace your design on fabric, followed by wax painting, dyeing and the finishing steps.
You will be able to take notes and also be given a link to a pre-recorded tutorial so you can create more pieces at home after the course.
The course fee includes the majority of materials and use of equipment which is supplied by the Tutor.
This course runs for 1 session x 3.5 hours.
