Let Freedom Read Day is Saturday, October 10! Celebrate the freedom to read with us! Spend Saturday reading a banned book in front of our Let Freedom Read banner. Grab a book and join in for an hour or stay for the whole day! This program is put on in partnership with Annie's Foundation and the Des Moines Public Library Foundation

VOLUNTEER
We are signing up volunteers for our live Read-In to ensure that we have people there all day. If all the volunteer slots are filled up you are still welcome to join in.
What would a Read-In volunteer do? Sign-up for a 30-minute shift to sit in a high-traffic area of the library and read a banned book in support of the freedom to read.
