Lessons from Earthships and biomimicry for passive greenhouse design.
How do organisms in nature heat and cool their structures? Together we will learn from all the solutions that already exist across nature as well as human design for how we can passively regulate the temperature of our growing spaces with accessible resources and tools.
We will learn how to optimize solar gain and thermal mass for future greenhouse buildings and discuss retrofits, costs, and benefits to enhancing the performance of existing structures.
The Instructor for this awesome class is Elinor Stapylton, Certified Earthship Biotecture Educator. Elinor holds a Masters in Science in Biomimicry from Arizona State University and a Bachelor’s in Biology & Environmental & Urban Studies from Bard College. She has a teaching certificate in Biotecture from the Earthship Biotecture Academy. We are so delighted and grateful to have Elinor join us for this very special, excellent series of Earthship Workshops!
Space is limited for these classes and early registration is highly recommended.
No refunds/exchanges unless program is canceled by SLNC. Thank you.
Elinor Stapylton is offering Workshops at the SLNC Earthship on the following Saturdays, April 25th, May 9th, and October 24th.
