# Learn to Reupholster & Restore a Small Wooden Chair!**Two-Day Hands-On Upholstery & Wood Restoration Workshop**
**Bespoke Original Skills Studio**
We're switching things up with a special two-day workshop!
Have a small wooden chair that needs a little love? Bring it to the studio and learn how to transform it yourself, from stripping away the old upholstery to refreshing the wood and applying beautiful new fabric.
This is more than a DIY class. You'll learn practical upholstery and furniture restoration techniques from an experienced professional, working on your own chair from start to finish.
**Only TWO students will be accepted for this workshop**, allowing plenty of individual instruction and hands-on learning.
### Workshop Details
📅 **Saturday, November 14 & Saturday, November 21, 2026**
⏰ **10 AM – 5 PM both days**
💰 **$450 + HST per student**
📍 **Bespoke Original Skills Studio – Toronto West End**
### What You'll Learn
**Day 1 – Stripping, Wood Repairs & Preparation**
- Remove old fabric, staples, and upholstery materials.
- Assess your chair's construction and condition.
- Learn basic wood gluing and minor joint repairs.
- Prepare the chair for new upholstery.
- Replace or add foam and padding where needed.
**Day 2 – Upholstery & Wood Restoration**
- Measure, lay out, and cut your new fabric.
- Learn proper fabric placement, stretching, and stapling.
- Work on corners, edges, and finishing details.
- Restore and refresh existing wood finishes.
- Learn to use wood touch-up markers and furniture wax.
- Put the finishing touches on your newly restored chair!
### Bring Your Own Chair!
You'll bring a small wooden chair to work on throughout the two days.
Your chair cannot be broken or require major structural rebuilding. A little wobble or a loose joint is fine!
We'll be offering more advanced woodworking and furniture repair classes in the future.
**Please send a photo of your chair for approval before registering.**
### Prerequisite – Beginner Upholstery Class
You must have completed our **Bespoke Original beginner upholstery class** before attending this workshop.
This class builds on the skills you've already learned and takes you into more detailed furniture restoration.
### Small Classes, Real Skills!
With only two students, you'll receive plenty of personal instruction and time to practise each technique.
And here's something extra!
**If we need a little additional time to complete your project, that extra instruction is FREE.**
Everyone works at a different pace, and I want you to learn how to do the job properly rather than rush through it.
Whether you're interested in restoring furniture for your home, flipping vintage chairs for resale, or developing skills toward a career in upholstery, this workshop is another step forward.
**Investment: $450 + HST per student**
Basic wood touch-up supplies and workshop tools are provided. Upholstery fabric and any replacement foam are additional. Students can choose from affordable fabrics at the studio or have their own fabric approved before class.
**Only TWO spaces available!**
