Come Celebrate Leonia PRIDE on June 5th, 2021The Mayor's Advisory Committee on Racial Equity (MACORE) will be hosting a PRIDE flag raising for 10:30am at Leonia Borough Hall (312 Broad Ave, Leonia, NJ) followed by an event at Wood Park with speakers and entertainers from 11am-2pm.
Spend the afternoon with us and hear from the Tyler Clementi Foundation, Babs Siperstein PROUD Center, The Pride Center of New Jersey, Garden State Equality, the Leonia Middle School – The LGBTQ+ and Friends Club group, the Leonia High School – Gay Straight Alliance group, the Rainbow Café, the Women’s Rights Information Center in Hackensack and Valerie Huttle & more.
Sit back and be entertained by Broadway World Cabaret Winner 2020, Leola, Plastiq Passion, the Nunnbetter Dancers, The Gay Straight Trio, Greg from that Rainbow House, Romano Ivory
& more.
We will have a Biergarten from Alementary in Hackensack from 11am-3pm and an auction table, where we will be raising money for LGTBQ books for the Leonia Public Library.
There will be an artist painting a mural for the Library live with the help of the public, temporary tattoos, crafts and treats for the kids.
