Her lyrics are a mixture of a heartfelt acknowledgment of the pain and suffering in life, balanced by the steadying force of committed relationships. Graves draws from her deep connection with the natural world to help frame the difficulty of the human emotional landscape. She found her musical beginning growing up in Michigan as she learned to sing harmonies with her older brothers and sisters. She later joined the music industry where she recorded and toured with the band Waterdeep in 90s and early 2000s. She stepped away from touring and recording to raise her family, but continued songwriting and participating in music programs with her church. In 2019 the Christena Graves Band began, and in 2021 Christena's solo album, "Finding My Footing," marked her triumphant return to the music industry after years away.
David Luther is an Americana artist and songwriter from Kansas City. He often explores themes of resilience, spiritual and emotional growth. He strives to craft songs that resonate with sincerity and a deep sense of place and purpose. Accompanied by an amazing band to perform songs from his first self-titled EP, his last album Take Me Home(2022) and his most recent release produced by Neilson Hubbard, Who You Are. Come join us!!
