Saturday 28th November, 1pm-4pm, Leith School of Art, 25 North Junction Street, Edinburgh EH6 6HW. Free, unticketed. Established in 1988, Leith School of Art is an independent art school built on the belief that everyone has creative potential. More than just a place to make work, it is a vibrant community of artists creating a welcoming environment for creative individuals across Scotland.
This Fair Saturday, join tutor Jo Richardson and studio assistant Christopher Connarty for a family-friendly drop-in drawing session. Working from a fantabulous still life, you will have the chance to try out pencils, charcoal and pastels at the easel. Whether you stay for 3 minutes or 3 hours, you will be encouraged to experiment with your materials, turning ordinary objects into extraordinary drawings.
This event is completely free to attend. Any donations are gratefully accepted to support our bursary fund, inspire young people through outreach programmes, maintain our historic buildings, supply high-quality materials and specialist equipment for every course, and sustain an inclusive learning environment for all.
This event is supported by the City of Edinburgh Council & Fair Saturday Community Engagement Fund and supports the local community.
