Join Crowell School of Business for Leigh Steinberg's keynote address, "Building Your Career on Resilience & What Matters," followed by a signing of his book, The Comeback.
Leigh Steinberg is one of the most influential sports agents in the history of professional sports, representing some of the biggest names in football (Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, Patrick Mahomes 2020) and helping shape the modern sports-management industry.
Over the course of his career, Steinberg has represented more than 300 professional athletes, including numerous NFL stars and Hall of Fame players, while negotiating landmark contracts and advocating for athletes both on and off the field. His advocacy extends to protecting athletes from concussions, traumatic brain injury, and repetitive head impacts — with emphasis on research, education, treatment access, prevention, recovery, and long-term well being. The Leigh Steinberg Foundation for Concussion, Traumatic Brain Injury, and Brain Health advances awareness, research, advocacy, and access to care.
Steinberg became widely recognized as one of the real-life inspirations for the sports-agent character in Cameron Crowe's Jerry Maguire, which premiered in 1996 and starred Tom Cruise.
Beyond his work as an agent, Leigh is an accomplished author, philanthropist, entrepreneur, and speaker who has used his platform to promote leadership, education, community involvement, and the importance of giving back. His career and approach to athlete representation have made him a respected figure whose influence extends far beyond sports.
