The Story of Marymount College: Based on Dr. Pat Ackerman’s popular book Marymount College of Kansas- A History, Legacy on the Hill: The Marymount College Story is more than a history lesson; the documentary explores the college’s social and cultural impacts on Salina and beyond.
Founded in 1922 by the Sisters of St. Joseph, Marymount College shaped Kansas history for 67 years. Salina Media Connection and Method Productions present an extraordinary journey profiling Kansas’s first all-women’s institution, basketball championship, and artistic achievements, showing how its legacy endures today through trailblazing alumni and lasting impacts on regional healthcare, arts, and culture.
