That time of the year is approaching again! The 47th Leeston Santa Parade and Movie in the Park is on Friday 4th December 2026.
Fun will start at 5pm when High Street is closed to traffic. There will be free children's entertainment in the Anglican Church Grounds, and fun happening on High St.
A small number of Craft Stalls and plenty of Food Vendors will be set up around Anderson Square.
At 5.30pm the Leeston Physio Santa Dash will be happening. Different groups starting at different places along the street, with the highlight being the Family Race. Don't forget there is a trophy for the person racing in the best Christmassy outfit.
The parade commences at 6.30pm making its way down High Street from Anderson Square. Most floats will go around twice, and the man of the season will join at the end of the second round. His Selfness will go to the end of High Street (Challenge Service Station) and turn around and make his way back to Anderson Square - two chances to see him! Once he gets to Anderson Square he will move to his 'grotto' where the kids can have their photo taken (free) by a professional photographer.
Also in Anderson Square there will be a Lolly Scramble for the kids, and a free Prize Draw. Don't forget to get your entries into the barrel before the parade finishes.
The movie, yet to be decided, will start at 8pm. There will be food available right to the end of the movie.
