About this Event
Anchors are organisations with strong roots in a place, who help shape that place through the decisions they make. While often associated with larger organisations and the public sector, we strongly believe all organisations in Leeds have the potential to be an anchor by recognising their local influence and acting upon it - by being a good employer, spending locally, contributing to local communities, and looking after the environment. Being an Anchor brings benefits to organisations of all sizes.
This is a conversation about the way we do business in our city, as we extend an invitation to join a cross-sector movement of organisations who are backing Leeds and helping to shape its future, building on nearly a decade’s experience of Anchor working in Leeds.
You can expect to:
- Hear from civic, business and community Anchor leaders about what it means to be an Anchor organisation in practice, and the immediate and long-term benefits this brings
- Meet organisations of different sizes and sectors who are putting Anchor principles into practice, and explore what we can achieve by working together
- Find out how easy it is for your organisation to join
