Join the Leduc-Beaumont chapter of Friends of Medicare as we gather for their annual general meeting to discuss last year's work and plan the work ahead in our fight to protect, expand, and strengthen public health care. The AGM will begin at 6 pm. All are welcome to attend. Only members in good standing are eligible to vote in discussion or elections.
Following the AGM, at 7 pm, we'll be hosting a free screening of the award-winning National Film Board documentary, "Stolen Time." This powerful film follows elder rights lawyer, Melissa Miller, as she takes on Canada's corporate for-profit nursing-home industry. The film is 85 minutes.
