About this Event
Christianity, Politics and the Common Good
Sunday 18th October, 4.45-5:45pm
in the Minster
An afternoon lecture shining a light on and exploring the concept of the Common Good at a time when it is widely felt that institutions are losing their purpose and integrity.
In this lecture, speaker Jenny Sinclair will draw upon the tradition of Catholic Social Teaching to argue for the importance of this concept of the Common Good at a time when institutions are losing their purpose and integrity and demonstrate why it matters both for Christians and non-Christians alike.
Speaker: Jenny Sinclair is Founder and Director of a UK charity dedicated to spiritual and civic renewal. Drawing on Catholic Social Teaching, Jenny and her team equip Christian leaders, churches, schools and charities to read the signs of the times and work for the common good. Jenny convenes events and writes and speaks on the vocation of the Church in society. She is also co-host of a podcast exploring what it means to be God's people in this time of great change.
Tickets cost £7 (plus booking fee)
