Discover how a flat, rigid piece of metal can be transformed into an organic form inspired by nature.Join us at Tucson Jewelry School for our hands-on Leaves and Pods – Organic Fold Forming class. Using a unique metal folding technique developed by Charles Lewton-Brain, you’ll explore organic fold forming and learn how folding can transform rigid metal into beautifully organic shapes inspired by leaves and pods.
This class welcomes all skill levels, making it an opportunity to explore the technique with instructor guidance whether fold forming is new to you or you’re looking for another way to shape and manipulate metal.
Your instructor, Kim St. Jean, is Tucson Jewelry School’s resident artist and has more than 25 years of experience teaching jewelry making. She’ll guide you through the process as you explore what happens when folding techniques are used to give metal movement, texture, and an organic feel.
