Class Description
Bracelets are a perfect project for folks looking to get into the craft of leather work! In this class you will learn fundamental leather working skills and create a one of a kind piece to take home at the end of class. Solo or with a friend this class is a great way to get a taste of what creations are possible for you with leatherwork.
The materials fee for this class is $20. This is separate from the ticket price and is to reimburse the instructor for any tools or materials used in this class. This will be paid once, directly to the instructor at the start of the first class meeting. This instructor accepts Venmo, Paypal and Cash.
Learning Objectives
- Learning about various leather types
- Proper use of hand tools like bevelers and stamps
- Hand dye/finishing techniques
Instructor - Hope Zimmerman
Hope has been working with leather for 26+ years focusing their skills on working with natural tanned leathers making belts, bracelets, guitar straps and other high quality leather fashion wears. With their unique skills focused on color and quality finishing techniques students are sure to learn great hand skills while having fun making.
Target Audience
Beginners and folks interested in Artisans Asylum's Fiber Arts Shop. Students under the age 18 requires adult supervision.

Class Policies
Attire: Attendants should wear clothes they don't mind getting stained. Reading glasses if needed for detailed work.
