About this Event
In this workshop, we'll explore how to embrace generative conflict whether with youth participants, co-workers, school staff, families or anyone else. We'll begin by reflecting on tendencies and patterns in responding to conflict. Next we'll look at a framework for shifting our understanding of conflict from what's on the surface to the deeper interests and needs underneath. Then we'll focus on skill-building for generative conflict, including emotional regulation and a guide for having generative conflict conversations. Lastly, we'll practice applying the skills we've learned to role-play scenarios relevant to our work.
