About this Event

Please join us on Wednesday, May 20th at 5 p.m. at the Festival Center in Adams Morgan for our Deep Roots Grow Power event, a special celebration of worker power and organizing as we enter a new season for ROC DC. As the District’s only worker center wholly dedicated to fighting for a more equitable restaurant industry, we’re committed to ensuring that worker voices are at the center of who we are and what we do. Last year, ROC DC members voted overwhelmingly to change our name as part of our transition to independence. We are now the Restaurant Organizing Collective.

This new name is an affirmation of what has always been true: ROC’s commitment to organizing, building, and sharing the power of D.C.’s restaurant workers.

We can’t wait to raise a glass, and a fist, to our new future together! Come prepared for an evening of springtime activities, good food and music, and warm hospitality. Along the way, we’ll be celebrating our hard-won wins, honoring community leaders who are fighting to make the D.C.’s hospitality industry more just and sustainable for workers and envisioning the future or the restaurant industry and workers rights, together.

Space is limited, so purchase your tickets today! Sponsorship opportunities are still available!

Funds raised through this event are a critical resource to power ROC’s organizing work throughout the year.

Thank you for your support and solidarity during a time when community and power building is essential.
