Join our in-residence sewing instructor, Keri Puglisi, for a fun and relaxed evening of creativity as you learn to sew your very own patchwork tote bag for summer!
Whether you come with friends or make new ones while you’re here, this class is the perfect way to spend a creative summer evening at Nest.
Students will learn the basics of using a sewing machine while creating a one-of-a-kind tote bag using fabrics of their choosing from our extensive fabric selection.
Your finished tote is perfect for trips to local farmers markets, beach days, summer shopping, or everyday adventures all season long!
This class is great for beginners looking to learn how to sew, as well as those wanting to build on existing skills. Keri will guide students through sewing machine basics including setup, winding a bobbin, stitching techniques, and helpful sewing tips and tricks along the way.
You’re welcome to bring your own sewing machine from home or use one of ours during class.

Keri has been teaching sewing and knitting for over 20 years at her EmmaLoops Craft studio, Love of Learning Montessori School, Harborfields HACEF summer programs, and Posey Studio of Dance. she has also written curriculum and taught at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Keri is the owner of Loops by Keri knitwear, sold at Nest on Main and Etsy.
