This 1-day training covers the basics yoga teachers need to add safe, skillful Yin to their teaching toolbox. During the 6 hour training, we cover the histories of Yin, Eastern and Western anatomical concepts applied to Yin, the basic architecture of a Yin practice and how to adapt it for every body, common questions, considerations, and how to scaffold life-long learning with a Yin lens. Students will also receive access to recorded supported materials for review at the completion of the training.
This training exceeds the standards of the Yoga Alliance and will be practical, memorable, and immediately useful. While additional study is available for those curious to learn more about using the wall or chair as a prop, or dig deeper in to the philosophies who lend wisdom to the practice of Yin Yoga, this Level 1 training is a complete introductory course.
• Students will understand the benefits of Yin Yoga from both Eastern and Western perspectives, and how to describe those benefits to interested students

• Basic understanding of Western physiological concepts and how these apply to Yin Yoga
