About this Event
100 cards in the deck, no repeats. 1 Commander to tie everything together. 3 opponents between you and victory... and, probably, a whole lot of fun and shenanigans on the way!
Come learn to play! Whether you know a bit about Magic: the Gathering but haven't tried the Commander format before, or you know it but are still getting your footing, or you barely know what Magic is, we'd love to teach you.
Commander is our format of choice because it's super social, and the huge variety of decks and cards means that no two games are ever alike. And the way we play it here is always casual and focused on fun!
The night will include a general overview of what makes the format unique, then we'll set folks up into games with other players at the same approximate experience level, with dedicated support to help answer questions as they arise and provide advice as desired.
There are two ticket options for this event!
$15 Bring-Your-Own Ticket: This is the right ticket for you if you own (or can borrow) a deck to bring and play.
$65 All-Inclusive Ticket: This is the ticket for you if you're looking to get set up with your first deck! This option includes your entry, as well as a Foundations Starter Commander deck to keep and your choice of Dragon Shield sleeves to protect those new cards.
Already know how to play, but want to come along with someone new? Please do! We'd love to have your expertise and experience to further help the folks at your table learn; just be prepared for extremely casual games with a lot of table-talk, helping people remember their triggers, and allowing folks to change their mind about what they play and in what order.
