LEARN | DIRECTOR 101Session 2: Staying Organized & Making a Plan and Vison in Technical Design

Have you wanted to direct a show but don’t know where to start? Maybe you have directed but are looking to strengthen your ability in a few specific areas. Director 101 is a FREE three part workshop that will cover submissions, the role of a director, the administrative side of directing, technical & light design, blocking, and character development.
Our second session picks up right where session one left off! This session will begin with the planning & organzing piece of directing. Devyn Farney & Jack Clifford will walk through putting together a production team, scheduling, preparation for auditions, and how to communicate with your production team. Then Chip Joyce will talk all about vision in technical design. He will talk through some of his past shows and how he takes his vision and makes it a reality. We will end this session with a Q&A will all three to talk about organization, technical design, production crews, and anything else you want to know!
No matter what level of directing experience you have, this session will give you some practical tools and resources to becoming a more organized and well rounded director.
