Smaller scraps get cut into strips. And even the tiniest offcuts get kept, because Ali knows that good fabric deserves a second life.Those strips and scraps are exactly what you’ll be working with in this workshop, transforming them into a gorgeous rag wreath to take home and hang on your door this Christmas.
Rag wreaths are a wonderfully satisfying make — tactile, forgiving, and genuinely enjoyable to put together, whatever your experience level. Ali’s fabric choices are beautiful: rich colours and textures that make for a wreath that feels considered and special rather than thrown together.
Everything you need is included in your workshop, so you can just turn up, settle in, and make something lovely.
Taunton Brewhouse are excited to be working in partnership with Hestercombe House and Gardens to bring you a special series of festive craft workshops in the beautiful surroundings of Hestercombe Estate. Your ticket includes access to the house and gardens (adult ticket usually £16.90) so you can enjoy a short walk or a look around the house in your lunch break or after the workshop too. Hestercombe opening hours are 10am – 5pm.
