At some point you found something that made you feel safe.
A person. A role. A relationship. A job. Being needed. Being in control. Being liked. Never being alone. And it worked — when you did not have access to your own ground you put your safety somewhere else. That was not weakness. That was the only solution available at the time.
But when the safety is outside you it can always be taken. The person leaves. The role ends. The approval disappears. And suddenly there is nothing underneath you. Not because you are broken. Because you were building on borrowed ground.
The longer you lean on the wall the less you know what it feels like to stand without it. You start organising your whole life around keeping it in place — not because it is good for you but because without it you do not know where to put yourself.
And when you cannot reach it? You cope. You flee. You log out. You find another wall — faster, smaller, one you can carry with you.
This workshop goes into all of it. Where you put your safety. What your attachments are built on. How you cope when you cannot reach them. And what it would actually feel like to find ground that nobody can take from you.
HOW WILL WE WORK
We start with grounding and move through the evening in pairs, trios and circle. Physical exercises, movement, embodiment and direct honest contact with other people. You will not be asked to perform or explain yourself to the group. You will be asked to be real — in your body, in contact with one other person who is doing exactly the same thing.
Each workshop stands on its own. You are welcome if this is your first and equally welcome if you have been to all seven before.
