Speaker's bio:
Phil Ingle helps organisations prepare their people for the way work is changing, building the human, commercial and financial skills that keep their value as technology, structures and expectations shift.
Phil designs and delivers learning in the skills that matter most when work is less predictable: leading people through change, negotiation and influencing, communication and presentation, project management, personal productivity, and finance for non-financial managers. As technology takes on more routine analysis, his focus is on the judgement, conversations and decisions that remain distinctly human. He also coaches and mentors, and trains coaches and mentors in their own practice.
Across more than 250 organisations in 42 countries, from financial services, energy and rail infrastructure to pharmaceuticals, charities and the public sector, Phil is known for making specialist skills accessible to non-specialists. Clients include ING Bank, Morgan Stanley, NFU Mutual, DCC Group and Oman Development Bank.
His career began in banking at Barclays, where he ran sales and service teams, managed operational risk, led lending teams and looked after high net worth and business clients, before moving into project management and then learning and development. Working through decades of change in a sector reshaped by automation and regulation gives him a grounded view of what helps people adapt, and what holds them back.
He holds an MBA from Cranfield School of Management, is a Master Practitioner in NLP and is BPS Level A qualified in psychometric testing. He is a Fellow of the CIPD, the RSA and the Professional Speaking Association, and an Associate of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council. Phil chairs the CIPD Coventry & Warwickshire Branch and the South Warwickshire Local Business Forum, and is Finance Director of the Professional Speaking Association.
His view is that the future of work is not only about technology. It is about whether people have the skills, confidence and support to make good decisions as their roles change
