LEADERS, VISIONARIES, AND CHANGE MAKERS: REGISTER NOW!Something powerful is coming to Winnipeg this fall. It’s time to gather, reflect, and reclaim the traditional values that define true leadership. Join us for Leading Our Nations: Sovereignty, Purpose, and Integrity in First Nations Leadership, a transformative three-day national conference hosted by the Featherstone Group & Mikapipikwun Edge.
This isn’t just another conference—it’s a space to challenge the status quo, build real capacity, and strengthen the heart of our communities.
\Whether you are an aspiring leader, a current Chief or Councilor, or a former leader navigating life beyond politics, this summit is designed for you. We are diving deep into four core pillars: Decolonizing Governance: Rebuilding systems on our own laws and dignity. The Hard Skills: Master council professionalism, ethics, and administration. The Human Element: Breaking the burnout cycle and supporting our families. Life Beyond Politics: Finding identity and purpose after leaving office.
MEET YOUR HOSTS: Hear from incredible trailblazers who have walked the path:
Jill Featherstone: Visionary author and social entrepreneur dedicated to removing barriers and building confident leaders.
Maureen Brown: Five-term former leader and the first woman elected Chief of Opaskwayak Cree Nation. Maureen has built bridges across cultures and generations, guided by the wisdom of her ancestors.
