What this session is
Join an honest breakfast panel assessing where Guernsey really stands in the global AI race. Facilitated by Daniele Harford-Fox (Principal, The Ladies' College), the panel brings together Deputy Lindsay de Sausmarez, Glen Tonks, Brooke Kenyon and a senior representative from C5 Alliance to confront the real risks and opportunities AI presents — and what happens if other jurisdictions move faster than Guernsey does.
The panel also looks at two of the island's toughest structural challenges through an AI lens: roughly 2,500 open vacancies at any time, a housing shortfall constraining workforce growth, and what both mean for how the island trains its workforce today and tomorrow.

About the AI Sprint
The Guernsey AI Sprint is an island-wide programme, led by the G8, bringing together businesses, organisations, and individuals to explore, learn, and act on artificial intelligence. From October 1st to November 12th, we'll run workshops, talks, hackathons, and hands-on challenges designed to move Guernsey from AI curiosity to AI confidence.
