About this Event
Every child deserves a lead-safe home and the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Join the Lead Safe Coalition Education & Engagement Group for a community conversation about protecting children’s health, expanding lead testing, and creating safer homes across the Miami Valley.
Meet our conversation leaders:
• Ashley Steveley, Interim Director, Center for Community Health at Dayton Children’s Hospital, will discuss lead’s health impacts, why early testing matters, and how community partners can help protect children.
• Gayle Covington Fowler, Family Health & Environmental Strategist, will share practical ways to reduce lead dust and exposure at home, including everyday cleaning, safer home practices, and lead awareness.
This meetup welcomes agencies, community leaders, government officials, contractors, and anyone who cares about Miami Valley children. Come learn, connect, and explore how we can work together to support healthier homes and families.
