Description
Learn the basics of lawn bowls, the strategic, challenging and fun sport for all ages. Enjoy three two-hour sessions with skills overview and on-the-green instruction from nationally accredited coaches and short games with a more experienced bowler to help and guide you. At the completion of the course, you will have the skills to start bowling as a sport.
Who should attend?
Those who've never played and would like to have a go. No experience necessary. Minimum age 12 years. Bowls is a fully accessible sport.
What should I bring?
All equipment provided. Just wear flat shoes. Please arrive 15 minutes before the start time, so we can start promptly.

What did you enjoy? "The weather, the tui’s signing in the trees, the music on the last day, the coaches (Rosemary reminded me so much of my mother), the other people learning (my wife in particular), the sense of relaxation, the challenge, the very friendly nature of the club members that we encountered over the 3 weekends, the home baking.
What could be improved? "Not a lot. I did find that coming in early before the sessions allowed me to send consecutive bowls down which gave me to get a better feel."
