Lavani Workshop: Learn the Moves, Then Perform a Song
Ever watched a Lavani and wished you could do it yourself? This two-hour workshop takes you from the basics to dancing a full song.
Hour 1: The building blocks
You'll learn the three things every Lavani is made of:
- Footwork: simple patterns you can drop into any Lavani, at the start, the end or in between
- Hand movements: basic poses and gestures
- Expressions: how to make the face part of the dance
Hour 2: Put it together in a song
We'll bring everything into one popular Lavani and learn a common choreography, so you leave with a piece you can perform anywhere.
